Confession: I’m a perfectionist. And slightly OCD when it comes to starting things. I like things to start off clean and fresh. New year’s resolutions. The start of a new job. A month where the first day is a Sunday (so the calendar lines up).
But this time around, I’m breaking that trend. I’m starting this blog on a Thursday. A random Thursday in October. Because you know what? Life is short, and if I just keep thinking about building this site without actually doing it, what good is that?
So here it is in all its imperfect glory. A work in progress.
Like I mentioned, I’ve been thinking about this site for a while. What’s the best name? How often should I post? What should I post about? Will people even read it? But at some point, you have to stop thinking about it and start being about it.
They say the first step is the hardest, and that’s especially true for me. I want everything to be perfect. But how can something be perfect if it doesn’t exist? Exactly.
The purpose of this blog is to a) give me an outlet for my writing (let’s not let that USC degree in print journalism go to waste); b) allow me to share my passion for running, fitness, health, and nutrition; and c) engage like-minded people (read: you!) so we can inspire, motivate, and push each other.
With that said, let’s get this thing going!
